AirTemp – How to determine the age or manufacture date

AirTemp – 1976 and 1977 (Manufactured by Fedders)

Serial Number format:  12345AN

(This serial number is fictitious)

Using the last two digits 12345AN (Always in letter format) you will find the month and year of manufacture.  The first letter is the month and the last letter is the year.  This unit was manufactured in September, 1976.

Month of manufacture:  12345AN   

Use the following chart to determine month.

A = September

B = October

C = November

D = December

E = January

F = February

G = March

H = April

J = May

K = June

L = July

M = August

Year of manufacture:  12345AN

Use the following chart to determine year.

N = 1976

O = 1977 (Note:  Last year of manufacture for the AirTemp Brand)
