How to determine the age or manufacture date

All Westinghouse Brands manufactured by Nordyne have serial numbers that are 12 digits long and start with a series of letters.  (i.e. GSD060700023).

From the Serial Number (i.e. GSD060700023) locate the fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh digits.  GSD060700023. 

GSD060700023. The fourth and fifth digits represent the year of manufacture.  In this sample 2006.

GSD060700023. The sixth and seventh digits represent the month of manufacture.  In this sample July. 

This sample unit was manufactured in July of 2006.
